Open Technologies Engineering participates in Landmark International Forum Data Center 2025

On September 3, a discussion titled "A 20-Year Journey: Current Industry Challenges and Prospects" was held in Moscow as part of the international forum "Data Center 2025." The discussion featured Evgeny Virtser, General Director of Open Technologies Engineering and founder of Key Point Group.

During the session, representatives from government ministries and industry experts discussed pressing issues related to the development of the data center market. Key topics included the implementation of a new law on data centers, the creation of a dedicated industry classification code, and measures for state support.

Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Minister of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, highlighted the steady growth of domestic industry and the expanding opportunities for manufacturing data center equipment within Russia. Dmitry Nikitin, Director of the IT Industry Development Department at the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, stressed the importance of the newly adopted law. He noted that this achievement opens new prospects for the sector's growth but necessitates further work to develop detailed regulations and establish clear rules for all market participants.

Evgeny Virtser, General Director of Open Technologies Engineering and founder of Key Point Group, added: "We all share a common interest in ensuring the continued growth of the commercial data center market. While certain state support mechanisms already exist, accessing them requires considerable effort. We are hopeful that the new law will help simplify these processes and provide a fresh impetus for the market."

The discussion helped identify key challenges and opportunities facing the industry and underscored the critical need for close collaboration between businesses and regulators for the further successful development of the data center market in Russia.
