Open Technologies Engineering participates in the “Data Centers: Models, Services, Infrastructure” Forum in Yekaterinburg

On November 25, in Yekaterinburg, Open Technologies Engineering took part in the “Data Centers: Models, Services, Infrastructure” forum organized by the IX-Media holding.

During the plenary session, Evgeny Virtzer, CEO of Open Technologies Engineering and founder of the Key Point Group, spoke about ongoing projects and plans to expand Key Point’s data center network. Special attention was given to the new data center in Yekaterinburg being built by Open Technologies Engineering. Its opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. Once operational, it will become the largest commercial data center in the Ural Federal District.

The facility will be certified to Tier III reliability standards and will become part of a unified geo-redundant data center network that includes existing sites in Vladivostok and Novosibirsk, as well as projects in St. Petersburg, Dagestan, and other cities. The presentation also highlighted standardized operational principles designed to ensure a unified quality level across all locations.

Evgeny Virtzer emphasized the importance of distributed infrastructure and its scalability — not only for the data center network itself but also for clients who require predictable resource expansion.

“Today, the market needs modern data centers capable of ensuring stability, scalability, and high operational standards. The new data center in Yekaterinburg is being created precisely in response to these demands,” — noted Evgeny Virtzer.
