#WEARETHEINDUSTRY. A 360-Degree Perspective: The First Discussion Platform on Data Center Development Held in Yaroslavl

On May 28, a unique event titled “#WEARETHEINDUSTRY. A 360-Degree Perspective” took place in Yaroslavl, dedicated to the development of the data center (DC) industry. Key players in the DC market and experts from related industrial sectors came together for an open dialogue about the industry's future.

The first dedicated discussion platform in the Russian DC industry gathered over 150 participants from 80 companies. Unlike traditional conference formats, the event focused on live, in-depth professional discussions. Bold and pressing topics provided a detailed snapshot of the current state of the DC market in Russia. The event was organized by Open Technologies Engineering, Parus Electro, and PSM.

Evgeny Virtser, CEO of Open Technologies Engineering, remarked: "This is not just an event – it's a working platform where real issues in data center construction are addressed. We are creating a new culture of industry dialogue that we hope will further accelerate the sector's growth."

Vladimir Khlebnikov, Deputy CEO of Parus Electro, stated: "Initiatives like this are not just conversations about the future — they are concrete steps toward building a strong data center ecosystem in Russia. When leading industry players openly discuss challenges, share solutions, and agree on joint actions, that becomes the foundation for true technological sovereignty."

Andrey Medvedev, CEO of PSM, added: "As one of the speakers said, everyone gathered here today is the DC industry. Together with our colleagues, we managed to create an honest format where key market participants could share experiences, debate, and find common ground to build our technological future together."

From the very beginning, the discussions took on a practical tone — DC developers, operators, engineers, and infrastructure manufacturers worked together to identify solutions to the industry’s key challenges. Topics included regulatory frameworks, adapting to new economic realities, attracting investment, workforce development, and initiatives to stimulate industry growth. A dedicated session focused on the role of artificial intelligence in transforming the sector.

Participants unanimously agreed that such meetings should become a regular platform for generating coordinated solutions and joint initiatives.
